Snow? What snow?
posted in General and PlurkCraft 365 |Just a quick check in post tonight as there’s a ton to get to and very little time to get to it. Last night I passed out somewhere around 10, only to wake up again at 3:17 (always 3:17 or 4:12! Why? NO clue, but those are my two random wake up times, ALWAYS) and not be able to fall back asleep. I’m pretty tired right now, but am holding off on the sleep as long as possible by keeping myself doing stuff.
We had a “snow” day here in Charlotte today. When I heard the school closings, I looked out the window and laughed. Out loud and a lot.
I know I’m jaded, and I know most southerners have no point of reference for real snow, but seriously – you’re going to cancel school and delay openings for this?

It’s ok though – the cold gave me a good reason to come home and whip up a batch of pasta fagioli for dinner. Yum!
And now it’s time to go find a comfy spot to knit the day 4 rows of the KAL cloth and let my brain wind down. Tomorrow will be a long day between a high work load and a mid day trip to the dentist for the 1st of 4 quadrant cleanings. After my jaw surgery several years ago, I can’t sit thru a full mouth cleaning and they have to break me down. Sometimes I can handle 1/2 the mouth at a clip, it depends on the hygienist. Here’s to quick and relatively pain free
