If all Monday’s were like this…
posted in General |I don’t think people would dread them!
It’s been a long day, but in that “really great, I packed so much in!” kind of way. Despite being on a mini vaca, I was up at 5:45 (when the alarm goes off, I’m up, regardless of if it’s for me or not). I banged out a few loads of laundry. did some food shopping in prep for some dinner guests, and knit some on hypotenuse (pics of that and another WIP tomorrow) – all before 1pm!
Jane arrived shortly there after, and after quick tour of the house, we settled in to some geeky goodness. Not very long later, the Knit Diva and her beloved Pork Chop arrived on scene. More geekery ensued, and before long, Aimee was in house too!
Jane had to leave before dinner sadly, but the rest of the crew stayed. The men retreated to the kitchen (before you go feeling bad for either of them, they both not only love to cook, they are both quite good at it!) while the women knit and chatted and enjoyed the company. It wasn’t long before we had a yummy Taco Salad dinner on the table, complimented by good and silly and fun dinner conversation – what more can you ask for?
After dinner, we watched a little Torchwood, knit a little more and all too quickly, it was time for everyone to head home. Since I know I will be up early again tomorrow, I’m probably going to turn in on the early side, but wanted to pass along this cartoon I found on one of my (as close to) daily reads – Make Use Of (they have a geeky fun section, a directory of useful apps and all things webby, and lots more useful stuff, it you like that sort of thing)
1st glance, the tech in me chuckled. Second glance, the knitter in me (who is NOT a granny, despite what the cashier in Michael’s thought, right Aimee?) was maybe a little insulted. And then, i decided it was only insulting if I let it be, and I’d much rather be amused than annoyed.
